About Tourism
According to the “Current Dictionary of the Turkish Language Association”, tourism is defined as the travel made for purposes such as rest, entertainment, sightseeing, and acquaintance. In the “Dictionary of Leisure, Travel, and Tourism”, tourism is defined as the business of providing travel, accommodation, food, and entertainment to tourists. Again, in this dictionary, a tourist is defined as a person who visits places away from home during vacation time; travel as the act of moving from one country or point to another; a tour as travel to different places on the condition of returning to the starting point; and finally, a tour guide as a person who accompanies tourists on a tour and provides them with information about the places they visit.
As Archangel Travel Agency, we consider tourism a journey to the cultural heritage formed by nature, history, culture, and cultural ecology, and a window to this world of meanings. We are confident that we can open different windows for our guests to understand this new cultural context of which they will be part of and make them enjoy their time here.
